550 Squadron Commemorations in Berinzenne, Belgium

Photographs from the commemoration events in Berinzenne for the crew of ME581. 550 Squadron Lancaster ME581 was lost during the night of 22/23 April 1944. The crew were all killed and are buried in Heverlee War Cemetery.

In May 2018 representatives of the 550 Squadron Association visited the Berinzenne Memorial in order to lay a wreath for the Milburn crew.

In June 2014 representatives of the 550 Squadron Association visited the Berinzenne Memorial in order to lay a wreath for the Milburn crew.
A visit was also made to the Heverlee War Memorial in order to place crosses on the graves of the crew-men buried there.

Rebecq Association Visit 2013

In July 2013 members of the Rebecq Association visited the memorial to lay a 550 Association wreath.
While in October 2013 members of the Rebecq Association visited the 550 crew's graves in Heverlee British Military Cemetery to lay a 550 Association wreath and crosses in memory of the crewmen who were killed in the crash.
