Oude IJsselstreek Commemoration

550 Squadron Commemoration June 2018

8th June 2018

On this date a new Memorial Plaque to the crew of ME840, was unveiled in Oude IJsselstreek, The Netherlands.

Many thanks to the people of Oude IJsselstreek for their efforts in remembering this crew which failed to return home to North Killingholme.

Local people turned out in what was very bad weather for the unveiling of the memorial. Jacques Ploeger read some words from Gary Berg, a relative of F/O Berg DFC.
