550 Squadron Association Reunion 2026
Photographs from the Association Reunion held in North Killingholme 10 - 12 July 2026.
Many thanks to all in North Killingholme who, as always, helped ensure that the weekend was a success. Flags and bunting adorned the village, and the Memorial Stone and surrounding area were also suitably flagged. Thanks also to all the Association members and others who attended makeingit a memorable weekend.

Friday Evening, Dinner at the Ashbourne (informal)
Visitors sat down to an informal meal at 7:30 PM. Time for old friends to catch-up before the events taking place on Saturday.
Saturday
The museum was not open in the morning this year. Proceedings bgan with the parade to the Memorial Stone.

Parade to The Memorial Stone
The parade to the Memorial stone was, as ever, led by the Immingham Air Training Corps Band.

Service and Laying of the Wreaths At the Memorial Stone
A short service at the Memorial Stone was followed by two minutes silence and the laying on wreaths, the placing of poppy crosses and a photo opportunity. Peter Coulter and Mike Noonan lead wreath on behave of the Association for RAF and Commonwealth Forces. Wreaths were laid on behalf of the Parish Council by Cllr. Boyington, and on behalf of 866 Squadron, Immingham ATC.

Parade Back to St Denys' Church
This was again led by the Immingham Air Training Corps Band.

Flypast of the BBMF Dakota over St Denys' Church
The flypast, so much missed in the previous year, by the BBMF Dakota (the Lancaster is "resting" this year), scheduled for 13:38, was to be over the church. Sadly this was first postponed to 16:00 and then finally cancelled (technical issues).
Remembrance Service in St Denys' Church
The service was led by the Revd. Trevor Riess.
Mike Leeman started proceedings with the welcome. Honor Redshaw read the lesson.
Tea in the Village Hall
Following the service everyone adjurned to the Village Hall for tea and cakes.
Saturday Evening, Reunion Dinner, The Ashbourne Hotel
Visitors sat down to the formal dinner at 7:30 PM. However numbers were low and where once many tables were required only two tables were needed on this occasion. After dinner George Turner said a few words of welcome, and then made the toasts (as listed in the Reunion Dinner card).

This year there was no guided tour of the airfield (not required).
