In November 2022 the granddaughter of 550 veteran F/Lt James Cassidy DFC* visited the memorial and sent photos of the visit.

Australian National Memorial Odd Bods Association Plaque

In March 2020 a plaque was unveiled at the Australian War Memorial to the "Odd Bods Association, RAAF". These were RAAF aircrew who served not in RAAF squadrons, of which there were several, but in "mixed" (RAF, RAAF, RCAF and RNZAF) crews of RAF squadrons such as 550 Squadron.
